St. John Stone Sanctuary
The Design Details
A classic St. John stone home had been a rental and came with all the furnishings when our client acquired it. It was time for an update to many areas and to bring in beautiful furnishings that would help them enjoy their new home.
We focused on selections that would work well with the prominent stone walls, a common construction style unique to the island of St. John, incorporating things like porcelain wood look tile. The dated master bedroom was transformed into a luxury suite and bright island colors were brought in to the spaces with new bedding and rugs.
The kitchen features custom cabinets and backsplash and we created a bar with a window that overlooks the outdoor rotunda, gracefully connecting indoors and outdoors. We also reimagined a bunk room to be bright and inviting and is now the perfect space for guests; complete with a mini kitchen.
