Tiffany-Cassidy Speaking in Panel

Speaking at High Point Fall 2022

I was so honored to be a speaker for not one, but TWO presentations at the October 2022 High Point Furniture Market! This season’s market was built around the topic of vacation rental design in the talks, item sourcing, and showrooms.

My presentation at the Gabby Showroom was all about vacation rental design. I talked about the business end – how to find clients, how to build your value, and how to package services at different price points. Then, we had a lot of discussion around design, especially creating Instagram-able moments and furniture arrangements that lend themselves to beautiful photography. It feeds into the clients’ marketing which is one of the great values a well-designed space adds for rentals.

On Sunday, I was over at the Universal Furniture showroom to participate in a panel discussion on vacation rental design with Ashley Ross of Muse Noire Interiors, Jessica Duce of JDuce Design, and moderator Erika Saurit from Saurit Creative. Both presentations had a great turnout. A huge thank you to Jane Dagmi from High Point x Design who coordinated the event!

I arrived early to get a good look at the showrooms and was not disappointed. I gained so much inspiration from the unique spaces and I know our clients will love how I take these ideas and put them into their homes.

The stunning Gabby showroom, styled by their creative director Christopher Hutchens, had a unique theme this year – birds! Elegantly styled rooms with wallpaper murals, carefully curated vignettes with stuffed birds, and even many live birds were used throughout the large showroom. I enjoyed the upbeat and lively vibe, something I haven’t seen at the High Point Market in quite a while.

I was just amazed at the number of designers and industry professionals that came out for both of these events. There is no doubt that the vacation rental industry is growing and the number of those who support it are as well.

That’s a wrap, High Point! I’ll see you in Spring 2023.
